Make-Up When Less Is More

There is nothing worse than seeing a middle aged woman wearing so much make-up that it is literally caking up in her cracks and crevices. These women are probably not aware that they are actually drawing more attention to their faces than if they had foregone make-up altogether. There is also nothing worse than seeing a 13 year old girl wearing an inch of black eyeliner around her eyes and fire engine red lipstick, this just makes her look like she has just raided her mother’s make-up kit.

The best thing for older women to do is to wear a very light coat of light weight foundation and beware of lipsticks that are heavy if there are wrinkles present around her lips, for these women a clear gloss might be the best bet in conjunction with a hint of matte lip stick that will not run, there are also lipsticks on the market that do not come off when you drink coffee or kiss someone, for the frisky cougar in mind.

With younger girls a light coat of lip-gloss with a slight pastel color and no eyeliner at all is a good choice. They sell glitters which can be applied to the cheeks for a nice sparkly look but young girls should not be wearing enough make-up to qualify them for like in a brothel, it is tacky and does not look attractive in the least.

In many cases when it comes to make-up, less is truly more and knowing these times is a very big part of wearing make-up responsibly.

The Truth About Anti Aging

There are no real creams that will make you look ten year younger. While it is true that some creams will help minimize the appearance of wrinkles, the best way to stay young is to eliminate the amount of toxins your skin receives. For example, smoking cigarettes will easily add ten years to your skin over a period of time as it dries you out and dehydrates the skin. Another problem many women have is over exposure to the sun, this can be a skin nightmare, and not only for aging but also because it can lead to deadly skin cancer.

The best way to stay looking young is to get plenty of sleep, at least 8 to 10 hours a night, and when possible a nap in the afternoon. The age old saying “beauty sleep” was not named for nothing. Sleep actually keeps your skin and your body young as the cells heal during sleep. It is also a wonderful idea to be sure to apply a sun screen every time you go outside with an SPF of at least 15, the higher the better. Many make-ups contain an SPF of about 8, so using a cream under your make-up, if you must wear make-up, is a great idea.

Another link to remaining young is hydration for your organs. Drinking a minimum of 8- 8 ounce glasses of water will help keep the skin fresh and supple as it will keep your body from becoming dried out. This is the main cause of premature aging.
